Commission party and logo registration decisions

Electoral Commission party and logo registration decisions announced

The Electoral Commission, on 15 July 2005, made the following decisions: The Republic of New Zealand Party (abbreviation RONZP) was registered, along with its party logo. Jim Anderton’s Progressive was approved as the new name of the registered political party previously known as Progressive Party.

A replacement party logo was also registered for the party. The New Zealand Democratic Party for Social Credit was approved as the new name of the registered political party previously known as The New Zealand Democratic Party Incorporated.

Democrats for social credit was registered as its new abbreviated name. A party logo was registered for Rangitikei First, an unregistered political party. A party logo was registered for Aotearoa New Zealand Equal Values Party, an unregistered political party.

The Electoral Commission, on 20 June 2005, made the following decisions: Direct Democracy Party was registered, along with its party logo. A party logo was registered for NZ Republicans Party, an unregistered political party.
