Volunteering New Zealand welcomes ‘Cheers Volunteers’ campaign

“Volunteering New Zealand joins with government today in saying ‘cheers volunteers’,” said Tim Burns, Executive Director of Volunteering New Zealand.

Government today announced that Ruben Wiki will front the new ‘Cheers Volunteers’ campaign aimed at attracting more volunteers into sports and recreation in New Zealand.

“Volunteers in sport and recreation deserve the recognition that this campaign offers – and we hope that this will lead to even more people getting involved in the many rewarding volunteer roles in coaching, administration, fundraising and other aspects of sport and recreation volunteering.”

“We look forward to working with government, Sport and Recreation New Zealand and others to support this excellent initiative,” said Tim Burns.
