Mediation Planned For National Distribution Union

That National Distribution Union says that negotiations for its 4,200 supermarket members employed by Progressives will be referred to mediation next week after two days of negotiations.
National secretary Laila Harre said that a number of issue remained unresolved.
The mediation date is yet to be set.
Ms Harre said that the supermarket workers wanted an end to youth rates, a 7% pay rise, a collective agreement allowance and to keep their extra week long service leave that some union members have been receiving for over 20 years.
