Locked Out Palmerston North Workers to Receive First Mail
Locked out workers at the Palmerston North Progressive distribution centre will receive their first mail in their new letterbox today at 10am, says the National Distribution Union.
NDU Palmerston North organizer Dion Martin said that the letter box had been donated by vice-president of the Postal Workers Union, John Maynard, at a rally in Palmerston North last Saturday.
"Everyone's looking forward to our first message of support in our new letter box," he said. "The company, on the other hand, has already received their message from our letter box - we're in for the long haul."
Mr Martin said supporters could send mail addressed to "Camp Union, Lockout Island, Corner Mihaere Drive and Mako Mako Road, Palmerston North.'"
