The Travesty Of The Te Roa Settelment Bill.

The Travesty Of The Te Roa Settelment Bill.

NEWS RELEASE FROM ONE NEW ZEALAND FOUNDATION INC.

The Te Roroa Settlement Bill had its second reading last night and was passed 66 to 50, but this was based on false evidence by of the Maori Affairs Select Committee Members.

The Hon Tau Henare stated the One New Zealand Foundations Submission was not heard because of the bad language it contained.

This is completely incorrect. The ONZF Submission did not have one word of bad language and was heard by the Select Committee at Parliament on the 2 May 2007 but was withheld from Parliament and the public.

This was a deliberate lie to mislead Parliament of the content of the ONZF Submission which would have destroyed this Settlement Bill if Parliament and the public were allowed to know the truth.

Not one of the eight Submission's content opposing this Bill was mentioned in the Select Committees report or at the second reading in Parliament last night.

The decision on this Bill is based on race, not a fair assessment of the evidence that was available but omitted by this "stacked" Select
Committee.
