Grey Power National President, Mr Graham Stairmand
announced today that Grey Power are pleased to attend and
support the launch of the Super Gold Card.
"We appreciate
the amount of effort that has been made to bring the project
to its present form and in that regard thank the team at the
Ministry of Social Development for the effort that they have
made to make the launch a success.
While the present
document is relatively small, we are confident that the
benefits available to the elderly will substantially
increase over time as the large market available becomes
more evident to those willing to grant concessions. Once
again, the concessions to the elderly have come through the
efforts of a minor party. We know this is just a start and
Grey Power is optimistic that the Power, Phone and Travel
Companies will all come on board as, along with Health,
these are the main crippling expenses felt by
superannuitants."
