Grey Power Non-Partisan

Grey Power Non-Partisan

After many Press Releases, Radio and TV interviews to the contrary, there is still a lot of misinformation in the public and association arena to the effect that Grey Power Federation Inc supports the NZ First Party and its leader the Rt Hon Winston Peters.

I want to make this quite clear to the Media, Associations, Association Members and the Public in General; "Grey Power Federation Inc does not, and never has supported any particular Political Party."

"Each of the 75 Associations run their own affairs and are fully entitled to invite the Rt Hon Winston Peters to speak at their meetings or any other politician that they choose. This is not the responsibility of the Grey Power Federation Inc."

"Grey Power Federation Inc is not responsible for the various media who religiously follow the Rt Hon Winston Peters, and choose to report to the public what Grey Power meetings he has been invited to speak at. "

"I wish it to be acknowledged that many politicians from all parties speak to Grey Power meetings As an example, the 70 plus Grey Power Meetings that the Minister for Senior Citizens, Hon Ruth Dyson has been invited to and spoken at. These meetings are not necessarily reported on as the press determines their newsworthiness."
