Royal New Zealand Navy – Ferry Sinking - Clarification

Media reports this morning linking comments concerning the possibility of discovery of “dozen of bodies” in the sunken Tongan ferry PRINCESS ASHIKA, have been incorrectly attributed to Lieutenant Commander Andrew McMillan from the RNZN Diving and Underwater Search Team.

The RNZN has been particularly careful not to say anything that may create an unfair expectation (and distress) in the Tongan community; particularly that we may be able to identify their loved ones.
