Maori Party Close to Announcing Candidate for Te Tai

Maori Party co Vice-President, Ken Mair, has today announced three candidates have been accepted through to the selection process.
"We are thrilled to announce we have received applications from Waihoroi Shortland; Mere Mangu and Solomon Tipene" said Mr Mair.
"This is a great result and reflects the high interest that we have experienced across the Te Tai Tokerau electorate for the Maori Party contesting the by-election on 25 June".
"All three candidates have a strong profile and have presented a high calibre application to the Te Tai Tokerau electorate selection committee" said Mr Mair
"We look forward to announcing the successful Maori Party candidate on Writ day (Wednesday 25 May)".
