Nicky Hager To Speak On 'Other People's Wars' At Auckland University
The Department of Political Studies presents one of New Zealand’s most prominent investigative journalists to talk on his new work Other People’s Wars.
While many people know about the War in Afghanistan, very few people know about the role that New Zealand has had in the conflict. Composed from thousands of leaked military and intelligence documents, extensive interviews and eye-witness accounts from soldiers, Hager’s work raises important questions on the need for public accountability and transparent governance over New Zealand’s role in the War on Terror.
In this talk, Hager will give an overview of some of the issues discussed in his work and his perspectives on the issues that New Zealand’s involvement raises. This seminar is open to the public.
