Conservative Party's New CEO Christine Rankin

Message from new CEO Christine Rankin
09 May 2013
Hi Everyone.

I am so delighted to be here at headquarters as the Chief Executive of The Conservative Party.

My admiration for the party and its Leader has continued to grow over the past year or so. As a member of the board since last July, I have come to understand the enormous potential we have, and I think it’s fair to say that if our political opponents disregard us, it’s at their peril.

The energy here is contagious, and I sense that this is the beginning of something very significant for New Zealand. We are only 18 months old but the development of the party continues at a rapid rate.

As many of you know, I believe that to grow a truly great NZ, it will take Leadership, huge courage- passion -and utter determination. Although we deny it, NZ is in serious trouble in many areas.

We have a right and an obligation to provide a party that offers a truly conservative perspective and policies, particularly in areas such as Economics -Justice –Social and personal responsibility, and a unifying way forward.

This is the time for a mainstream party to actually represent what every day New Zealanders are thinking. It’s time for The Conservative Party.

I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible, and working together with you
