McVicar slams his political opponents

PRESS RELEASE

McVicar slams his political opponents

I want a safe and prosperous society and that can only be achieved if we have strong and vi-brant families – McVicar

Garth McVicar is the nemesis of the P C brigade, he is a man known for being unafraid to call it the way he sees it and stand up for what he believes. McVicar is unashamedly a proud and dedicated family man.

So no surprises that McVicar, who is standing for the Conservative Party in the Napier electorate, has come out swinging at his opponents who don’t share his views on family values.

In a recent survey of the Napier candidates McVicar stood out as the most family friendly candidate.

McVicar said strong families were an integral and fundamental part of developing a strong, vibrant and prosperous society.

“I am shocked that anyone wanting to represent Napier in Parliament doesn’t seem to understand the importance of strong and supportive families in a city like Napier.”

“My experience with Sensible Sentencing Trust has taught me that if we want a safe and prosperous society the best way to achieve that is through strong families.”

“I have been criticised for taking a strong stance on law and order but safety and strong families go hand-in-hand, one look at our crime rates is evidence that as policies of the past eroded family values crime has escalated alarm-ingly.”

Any number of movie examples come to mind, beginning with Rudolf Valentino’s role (over a century ago) as the romantic Arab hero in The Sheik...
