Roast Busters protestors unlock due to medical condition
Auckland, 6 November 2014 - After 6 hours locked on to the front of the Auckland Central Police Headquarters, protestors have made a decision to end today's action due to a serious medical condition.
"The amount of public support shown here today has been overwhelming," the group say. "Though we have had to unlock, we feel we have achieved our aim of keeping this issue in the spotlight. Police accountability is still sorely needed when it comes to dealing with victims of sexual violence, and we hope that the girls targeted by the Roast Busters know how brave we think they all are."
Tove Partington is in a fragile, but stable condition.
