Auckland Welsh Choir's benefit concert will support CPAG

Child Poverty Action Group is delighted to have been chosen as the recipients of a benefit concert by the Auckland Welsh Choir and the Devonport Chamber Orchestra.

CPAG Co-Convenor Janfrie Wakim said, "We are delighted that the Auckland Welsh Choir and Devonport Chamber Orchestra have chosen to donate the profit from their benefit concert to CPAG and we are most grateful for their support. With its Christmas theme, this would be an ideal pre-Christmas treat for friends and family."

The concert will showcase Ralph Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols, a 1912 work for baritone, choir and orchestra.

The Devonport Chamber Orchestra will play Ottorino Respighi's Orchestral Suite No 1, on Ancient Airs and Dances. The choir will also perform some of its best loved and newest choral repertoire, including songs arranged by John Rutter.

All profits will be donated to the Child Poverty Action Group.
