EPMU joins Pike River families to mark fourth
anniversary
Representatives of the Engineering,
Printing and Manufacturing Union are proud to stand with the
Pike River families to mark four years since 29 men lost
their lives.
“This is a particularly solemn day
given the recent announcements of Solid Energy abandoning
its efforts to re-enter the mine, and a civil case
proceeding against former CEO Peter Whittall is an important
next step,” says Bill Newson, EPMU national secretary.
“We stand with the miners’ families and their
community.”
