Gluttonous Government Sector Needs a Trim
11 DECEMBER 2014
FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
Responding to the Fairfax article that there has been an 11 per cent increase in the number of public servants earning over $100,000 in the past year, Taxpayers’ Union Executive Director Jordan Williams says:
“An 11 per cent increase in in taxpayer-funded public servants receiving more than $100,000 per year will be small comfort for taxpayers this Christmas.”
“While the Government has tried to impose a cap on the number of public sector employees, these latest figures suggest that there are plenty more heads managing the same number of hands.”
