Accused Killers Should Not Get Bail

Accused Killers Should Not Get Bail – Sst

Anyone accused of murder should not get bail – end of story! Garth McVicar:

The Founder of New Zealand’s largest justice reform and victims’ rights organisation says politicians are paying lip service to public safety and this latest killer-on-the-run bail debacle is further proof that they think law abiding citizens are entirely expendable.

McVicar said he is furious that police time and resources are being wasted and public safety is being jeopardised by the fact murder-accused Beauen Wallace-Loretz was on bail and able to cut off his ankle bracelet and escape.

“The police are doing a great job but they are being systemically and badly let down by our law-makers [politicians] and the Judiciary.”

McVicar said Judges are the gate-keepers for society and have a responsibility to protect law-abiding communities from dangerous offenders.

“This guy is accused of a brutal and callous murder, he has shown he has no respect for others and doesn’t give a toss about society’s rules and boundaries.”

“The police are warning he is dangerous and shouldn’t be approached so what an earth was a callous dangerous thug doing on bail?”

“My call is for the Judge who set this debacle in motion to be called to account and explain his actions – either that or stand in the dock alongside this thug he set free – when he is finally re-captured.”

“Ultimately the Judge needs to be held to account or point his finger and identify the legislation that forced him to grant this accused killer bail.”

“This Government got elected by promising to get tough on crime and put victims at the heart of the Justice System, so far they have paid lip-service to the notion and that just doesn’t cut the mustard.

“How many more run-away killers will it take?”
