Chinese Communist Party Interferes Again with Falun Gong

Chinese Communist Party Interferes Again with Falun Gong

New Zealand Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) Association

The Chinese Communist Party has no right to tell elected Members of Parliament what they can attend. This is a free and democratic society, where elected Members of Parliament should be able to freely exercise their own decision making capacity. If members of Parliament want to attend Falun Gong related events then they should be able to. Freedom of Speech and freedom of expression demand nothing less.

Respected and independent organisations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Freedom House and the United States Department of State in its Annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices all confirm and document the 16 year long brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China by the Chinese Communist Party.

Therefore, given its appalling human rights record, it is completely and utterly unacceptable for an unelected, undemocratic and dictatorial regime such as the Chinese Communist Party to interfere with Members of Parliament who are freely elected by the New Zealand electorate to represent the New Zealand people. Otherwise, New Zealand is in danger of becoming nothing more than a subservient colonial outpost of the Chinese Communist Party.

For the sake of completeness, Falun Gong is a cultivation practice of mind, body, and spirit, where the practitioner cultivates according to the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance”. For more information please visit the website: www.faluninfo.net
