ACC Levy Cuts a Small Relief

Responding to the Government’s announcement that ACC levies will be reduced by $500 million for businesses, workers and motorists, Taxpayers’ Union spokesman, Ben Craven, says:

“Levy payers will welcome the relief, but it’s small fry compared to the tax burden faced by most New Zealanders. The new process for setting future levies is probably more significant, in that it will provide more transparency and hopefully take the politics out the decision.”

“If this is all the Government is offering in next week’s budget in terms of tax relief, most New Zealanders are going to be disappointed.”
