Taxpayers to Pick up the Bill for MPs' Spat
Responding to the report that Parliamentary Service has admitted that the cost of installing a set of doors to keep rival MPs separate from one another will be $30,000,Taxpayers’ Union Spokesman, Ben Craven, says:
“At a time when young people are trying to save enough for their first deposit on a home, here we have out-of-touch politicians spending tens of thousands due to a minor spat."
"We're calling on politicians on all sides to come together and work out a reasonable compromise to avoid this schoolyard spat costing taxpayers."
“With Labour blaming National and National blaming Labour, the only losers in this scenario are taxpayers.”
