Child Labor Free Directors announce new CEO

The Child Labor Free team (CLF) is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, Nik Webb-Shephard, effective Monday 30th November.

Nik started with CLF in May 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and has consistently displayed tremendous skill and passion for developing and growing the CLF business and team. Nik will be responsible for further developing the CLF vision and managing all operational aspects of the CLF business, carrying on the incredible legacy founded under the leadership of founding CEO, Michelle Pratt, and co-founder, Nikki Prendergast.

“Nik has shown us time and time again he is an incredibly capable and respected leader, with the skills and dedication to ensuring the success of CLF,” says Michelle. “The growth within our team under the operational direction of Nik has been astounding, and both Nikki and I look forward to seeing CLF blossom further with Nik at the helm.”

Michelle and Nikki will still be actively involved in the CLF business, and are taking this opportunity to focus on the development of the Child Labor Free Foundation, a pivotal aspect of the journey to a world free of child labor.

“We started this journey with an clear vision of positively changing the outcomes of over 150 million children around the world - children laboring across the globe - robbed of an education and a childhood,” says Nikki. “The foundation represents how we can collaborate with brands on the CLF journey and organisations working in this space, ensuring children as well as their families and communities are cared for, educated, and free.”

Nik is an accomplished operator, with an impressed track record of managing successful teams, and growing both national and global businesses. Along with his inspirational leadership methods, Nik’s technical know-how and operational excellence will further support CLF as it expands globally.
