Child Porn Addict Walks Away Conviction Free!

Child Porn Addict Walks Away Conviction Free!

4th December 2015

Viewing, storing, distribution or the creation of any objectionable photos movies or the pornographic material involving children is a serious offence in New Zealand & should be dealt with by the courts in the most serious of ways” says Sensible Sentencing’s Manawatu spokesperson Scott Guthrie.

Scott says the discharge without conviction of a 40 year old I T specialist, after appearing in court & pleading guilty to 47 charges of possessing child pornography & also having strong police opposition, is ignorance of the law by a judge in its highest degree.

When sentencing, Judge Peter Butler said “he narrowly decided in favour of the married father of two” but somehow this District Court Judge forgot to take into consideration the children who had been subjected to these horrific crimes & had their innocent lives shattered by what they have been forced to do.

The defendant, a self-confessed porn addict, claimed that the images of child pornography popped up while he was watching adult pornography but strangely 47 hard core child abuse images just managed to get saved to a file on his P C.

His Defence Lawyer Mike Antunovic stated “ it excited his client” & then went on to say “this is a truly exceptional case & at the lower end this scale of offending” but all the while seems to ignore the fact that his client was party to a worldwide exploitation of defenceless helpless children!

Scott again makes the statement that “our Judges are the gate keepers for society & it is their duty to enforce the laws that we have so how about stepping up & taking into consideration the victims instead of pandering to the criminals every little need”.
