The Council of Trade Unions is calling on the Government
to work with business and unions to resolve the
miscalculation, by some employers, of holiday pay
entitlements.
“Today we have written to Minister
Woodhouse and made a formal proposal that a project group is
urgently brought together. This group should include
business, unions and Government agencies,” said CTU
President Richard Wagstaff.
“We must urgently
understand the scale and scope of the problem so that
together we can identity the solutions,
“I am
confident that solutions can be found. Lots of employers are
currently paying their employees what they are entitled to.
We don’t think that this is rocket science. If we apply
our minds cooperatively then I’m confident that we’ll
find solutions,
“We look forward to hearing
positively from Minister Woodhouse,” Wagstaff said.
