Crown cars to be sold through Turners Cars

Crown cars to be sold through Turners Cars

32 BMW 730Ld cars from the Crown VIP fleet will be sold through Turners in the coming weeks. The online tender started yesterday on Monday 18 April. Harley Spence, Manager of VIP Transport at the Department of Internal Affairs says “the Ministerial vehicles have been used for people such as the Prime Minister and Ministers of the Crown, the Leader of the Opposition, visiting dignitaries including Heads of State, and the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Parliament.”

“We have previously used Turners as it ensures an open and transparent sales process; we expect higher buyer interest, and importantly, value for the taxpayer by gaining the best return.”

The option chosen complies with the Department’s Asset Disposal policy and a usual probity requirement, says Mr Spence.

The new fleet of VIP vehicles have been progressively introduced since December as a result of a robust tendering process managed independently by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment All of Government Vehicles procurement process.

Interested buyers can find out more information about the vehicles for sale at: www.turners.co.nz/BMW
