RPE’s Bodysafe Launches New Look And Website

When: May 20, 2016 3.00-5.00pm

Where: Western Springs Community Garden Hall, 956 Great North Road, Auckland

What: Rape Prevention Education’s consent focussed secondary school programme BodySafe, has been reviewed and has a new design and a new website www.bodysafe.nz.

BodySafe promotes respectful relationships and works to prevent sexual violence by focussing on consent, respect, support and active bystanding and is delivered to over 20 high schools and alternative education centres across Auckland. BodySafe is a skills based programme and aims to build practical skills in communication and respect.

“Thanks to funding made possible through the New Zealand Drug Foundation’s FebFast 2015 and support from our design partners Curative, we are very excited to present the new look BodySafe,” said RPE’s Executive Director Debbi Tohill. “Teaching young people about healthy relationships and consent is a vital part of preventing sexual violence and young people in Aotearoa New Zealand deserve accurate and engaging information on this topic.”
