Seniors Party Moves Ahead with a Web Site Launched

Press Release

The New Zealand Seniors Party Moves Ahead with a Web Site Launched Today

Paul Rea, interim Chairperson of the NZ Seniors Party announced today that the Party had launched its new web site www.nzseniorsparty.org.nz

The site now firmly establishes our intent to formalise the Party as soon as possible and achieve the mandatory 500 members” he said.

Interest in the Party has been exceptional and the new site will answer many of the questions being asked by people.

The New Zealand Seniors Party is the only Party where the number one concern is the well-being
of the country’s seniors. Whilst looking at their issues we realised there were other New Zealanders who had been left behind and ignored by successive governments so we are here for them as well.

Mr Rea went on to say “The main intent of the Party is to achieve a “living pension” and a “living wage”, closely followed by the removal of GST from food and medical services along with free visits to the GP on reaching the pensionable age.

The complete repeal of Sec 70 of the Social Security Act 1964 that is currently under review, is a major priority for the Party.

“Sec 70” of the Social Security Act 1964 has, in our view, meted out horrendous experiences to
thousands of New Zealand seniors, seemingly stealing approximately $400M per annum from pensioners. This gross misdemeanors on the part of successive New Zealand governments and their bureaucratic
cohorts has to be addressed.

There are many other issues of concern to us and we will attack those aggressively with innovative and workable solutions.

We owe no allegiance to any outdated Party dogma, union mantra or financial interests. It doesn’t’ stop there of course, the web site tells a whole lot more.

We’re here for Seniors and the common good of all New Zealanders.

The web site is where potential members can join the Party” at www.nzseniorsparty.org.nz

Whatever messages of tolerance and inclusion are offered in daylight, much of our culture tends to be hostile to Islam when we’re sitting in the dark, with popcorn.
Any number of movie examples come to mind, beginning with Rudolf Valentino’s role (over a century ago) as the romantic Arab hero in The Sheik...
