Wairoa District Council Elections

Provisional results out for the Wairoa District Council Elections 2016

The Provisional results indicate that Craig Little has been elected Mayor for the Wairoa District Council following an election which concluded at midday today.

These results are based upon the counting of approximately 95% of the returned voting papers. The progress result does not include some special votes and voting papers returned today that are still in transit to the processing centre. The outcome of these elections may change once all voting papers have been counted.

Preliminary results are expected to be available from 4pm on Sunday, 9 October 2016.

Final results are expected to be declared on Thursday, 13 October 2016 or earlier if confirmed.
