Adina Thorn appointed to Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Board

Her Excellency, The Right Honourable Dame Patsy Reddy, Governor-General of New Zealand has appointed Auckland-based barrister Adina Thorn as a member of the William Churchill Memorial Trust Board.

The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust was established to award Churchill fellowships each year. Those Fellowships, including partnered Fellowships, are for overseas travel to learn more about other people and cultures, and to investigate topics that will help the recipient increase their contribution to the community.

Adina Thorn is a highly experienced lawyer in the areas of commercial and property litigation and disputes resolution. She is the principal of Adina Thorn Lawyers, the firm leading the current funded class action against the James Hardie group of companies seeking $250 million in damages arising from defects in that company’s plaster cladding products.

Adina Thorn is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and is a graduate of the University of Auckland holding degrees in both Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Property.
