Right to Life believes that the Hon David Seymour MP, should seek leave of the House to have his private members bill End of Life Choice bill, withheld from its first reading until Parliament has had the opportunity to consider the report from the Parliamentary Health Select Committee on the petition of the Hon Maryan Street dealing with the issue of assisted suicide and euthanasia. Mr Seymour should respect the Parliamentary democratic process, he should also respect the right to be heard, of the 21,277 concerned citizens who made written submissions to the Select Commit and the more than 1,000 citizens who also made oral submissions.
Right to Life is confident that the Honourable David Seymour MP, will show respect for Parliament and the people of New Zealand by withholding his contentious End of Life Choice bill.
