Is A Married Prime Minister Important ?

Is A Married Prime Minister Important ?

New Zealand has not had an unmarried Prime Minister for 75 years since Michael Joseph Savage, the first Labour Prime Minister. History records that all of our Prime Ministers believed that the state was at the service of the natural family which consisted exclusively of one man and one woman. They were all committed to defending and promoting the natural family which they believed was the foundation of a healthy society. Since 1933, the defence of the natural family has been at the forefront of Labour Party policy. We may then ask why is it that Jacinda Ardern, the leader of the Labour Party is now refusing to defend and promote the natural family of exclusively one man & one women?

A government orientated toward the public welfare and responsible parents owe it to the next generation to prepare them for natural marriage exclusively of one woman and one man and family. The electorate has a right and a duty to ensure that they elect only those who are going to defend and promote the family and be role models for our children and grandchildren.
The natural family of exclusively one man and one woman is the foundation of a strong and healthy society. Where the family goes, so does society. It is imperative that those who wish to have our permission to govern us recognize that the state is at the service of the family. At this moment in history the natural family of exclusively one man and one woman is the object of numerous forces that seek to destroy it. The future of our nation and the well-being of society are intimately tied to the good of the family. Many of our social ills can be attributed to the breakdown of the natural family.

Jacinda Ardern, the leader of the Labour party, is inviting the electorate to elect her to govern our nation. Those who govern do so with the permission of the governed. Right to Life wrote to Ms Ardern in March and again in July of this year and asked her:
We are concerned that our current birth rate is 1.9 and below replacement level. Do you believe that the natural family of exclusively one woman and one man, the pro -creators of the next generation, is the foundation of a healthy and continuing society and deserves the protection and encouragement of the state? Right to Life is disappointed that Jacinda Ardern refused to answer this important question.

We have a crisis in New Zealand with 50 per cent of our children being born out of wedlock resulting in unacceptable child poverty. Our birthrate is now 1.85 and the required replacement birth rate is 2.1. New Zealand is facing a demographic crisis. We need the government to conduct an urgent enquiry into why the current generation is unprepared to commit to producing and raising the next generation. Jacinda Ardern is seeking a mandate to govern New Zealand, why then is Jacinda Ardern in denial of this crisis? Her previous public statements in response to research conducted on behalf of Family First which revealed that a major cause of child poverty in New Zealand was being caused by the breakdown of marriage. Jacinda Ardern was dismissive of this important research and declared that the natural family is just one of the forms of family together with same sex families and solo parents.

Ms Ardern believes that a “marriage” between two men or two women is equal to the natural family, it is not. It is the natural family that produces the next generation and is the guarantor of the continuance of our society. Right to Life recognizes the heroic and loving solo mothers who choose life for their child and who are often the victims of abandonement by the father of their child. New Zealand desperately needs a Prime Minister who recognizes the natural family as the foundation of a healthy society and is prepared to defend and promote it.
