Chinese Communist Ideology Attempts to Infiltrate Democracy

Chinese Communist Ideology Attempts to Infiltrate Our Democracy

-Falun Gong Community Verbally Attacked by Chinese Speaker at Act Party Election Campaign Event

On 16th September 2017, the United Chinese Associations of New Zealand organised an event for Act Party Leader, Mr David Seymour, to attend.

At that meeting a Chinese speaker said in language reminiscent of the Chinese Communist Party: “ Two hundred thousand Chinese people in New Zealand are very disgusted after watching …1.4 billion people in China are very disgusted as well after watching; these Falun Gong people they are actually the scum of our Chinese nation.” We attach video footage.

Mr Seymour and his Chinese assistants were present at the time. No attempt was made at the time to stop this Chinese speaker from saying what he said. Neither did any Act Party personnel appear to publicly distance their Party from what was said at the time or subsequently.

Many independent and respected human rights organisations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Freedom House, the United States Department of State, and the United States Committee for International Religious Freedom have detailed the Chinese Communist Party’s unprecedented persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China over the last 18 years. This persecution includes involuntary live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners’ vital organs for commercial gain. This is a form of state-sanctioned murder.

Therefore, the Falun Dafa community is deeply hurt, dismayed and confused as to why the Act Party would allow this Chinese speaker to say such things about them, a peaceful meditation practice welcomed in over 140 countries around the world.

It remains unknown what Mr David Seymour’s position and that of his Party is concerning this event.

Depictions of Islam in Western popular culture have rarely been positive, even before 9/11. Whatever messages of tolerance and inclusion are offered in daylight, much of our culture tends to be hostile to Islam when we’re sitting in the dark, with popcorn.
Any number of movie examples come to mind, beginning with Rudolf Valentino’s role (over a century ago) as the romantic Arab hero in The Sheik...
