Canterbury Drinking Water Reference Group Responds to Report

Canterbury Drinking Water Reference Group Response to Government Report into Havelock North

The Canterbury Drinking Water Reference Group welcomes the Government Inquiry’s Report of the Havelock North Drinking Water Inquiry: Stage 2 and will examine the findings carefully to fully understand the outcomes and recommendations.

The Canterbury Drinking Water Reference Group was proactively formed after the Havelock North water contamination outbreak and is made up of representatives from Environment Canterbury, all Canterbury councils and the Canterbury District Health Board Medical Officer of Health.

The group meets regularly to discuss Canterbury’s public drinking water supplies, share knowledge and highlight any issues in the region.
