"UPDATE: Lake Hawea fire"

A scene examination has been completed by Police and Fire investigators at the site of yesterday’s dwelling fire on a rural property on Domain Road, Lake Hawea.

This has determined that the fire was not suspicious.

The remains found within the dwelling are human.

They have been removed from the site and are being transported to Christchurch for post mortem and formal identification.
