Nominations open for Labour’s candidate in the Northcote by-election

Nominations have opened for those who wish to be the Labour candidate for the upcoming Northcote by-election.

“We look forward to selecting a strong Labour candidate to contest the Northcote by-election,” said Nigel Haworth, Labour Party President.

“Even though Northcote is a safe National seat, we are not chickening out like National did at the Mt Albert by-election last year.

“Voters in Northcote deserve a proper contest so they can decide who will best represent them and their local issues in Parliament,” said Nigel Haworth.

Nomination forms are available at labour.org.nz/party_resources or by emailing reception@labour.org.nz. Nominees must be members of the Labour Party at the time of submitting a nomination form.

Nominations for the Northcote by-election close at 17:00 on Tuesday 10 April 2018.
