EDS scaremongering on fisheries management?

EDS scaremongering on fisheries management? Make up your own mind

Stuff recently reported that Shane Jones and NZ First have blocked an EDS appointment of our Policy Director Raewyn Peart to a Ministerial fisheries advisory group. The reason given is our recent publication Voices from the Sea which reveals a number of problems with the operation of the fisheries management system. The fisheries industry, which is close to Minister Jones, has described the book as ‘scaremongering’. We disagree and think it is a fair and balanced review of a sector that needs reform.

We invite you to read Voices from the Sea and draw your own conclusions.
You can download a free PDF copy of the report here. Alternatively, you can support our work by purchasing a fully illustrated hard copy for $19.95 ($15.95 for members) here.
