The Taxpayers’ Union is welcoming the investigation into allegations
that Maggie Barry used Parliamentary funding for political
party purposes.
“There is a clear line
between the work of Parliamentary staff and those that hold
private allegiance to political parties,” says
Taxpayers’ Union Executive Director Jordan
Williams.
“Even if there is a perception in Wellington
that this happens all the time, Parliament’s credibility
depends on the rigorous enforcement of the
rules.”
