So tomorrow Guyon Espiner has two interviews – National’s Paula Bennett and Labour’s Annette King. We’ll talk about jobs, welfare reform and what’s best for our children. And we’ll reveal an exclusive Colmar Brunton poll on what New Zealanders think about National’s plan to require parents who have another child on the DPB to start looking for work when their youngest child in one year old.

In our series on crucial electorates this election, Damian Christie is in Waitakere. Paula Bennett is seeking to retain the seat she won by just 632 votes in 2005; Carmel Sepuloni is trying to win it back for Labour and Mana’s Sue Bradford is trying highlight issues of poverty and unemployment. Three tough women in a tough tussle for votes.

And finally, Paul Holmes talks to Tamaki Makaurau candidates and Maori leaders Dr Pita Sharples of the Maori Party and Shane Jones of Labour.

Joining Dr Jon Johansson on the panel are UNITE union leader Matt McCarten and New Zealand Herald columnist Fran O’Sullivan.

BAD EGGS

But Bic Runga’s life had changed …. being an international recording artist tripping between Auckland and Paris was put aside for the arrival of a little boy called Joe. But now Bic is back on the bike , back writing and her fourth album called BELLE is released next week. Bic talks to SUNDAY about motherhood and making music.
