More biased reporting

More biased reporting
Press Release, Dr Jamie Whyte
7/08/14

Adam Bennett in the Herald has given another example of biased reporting. I issued a press statement pointing out that Sweden has made a decision to remove race from legislation. I then gave other examples and included the fact that Fiji has removed its racial electorates.

So the Herald headline is "ACT looks to Fiji for race law model".

I have not put up Fiji as an example to follow except in this one respect.

Interestingly, the Commonwealth and New Zealand have accepted Fiji’s decision and said that Fiji will be welcomed back into the Commonwealth after they have conducted an election on the basis of one person, one vote.

Why does the Herald not ask the Race Relations Commissioner why New Zealand as a member of the Commonwealth welcomes the new elections on a common role in Fiji but says it is wrong in New Zealand.
