Joy Faulkner reminds everyone - before they get out the
wacky backy to celebrate a new Prime Minister - that Helen
Clark is the woman who brought in the Smoke-free
Environments Act.
"The woman who banned tobacco
advertising - who denied employers and restaurant owners the
right to choose their own smoking policies in their own
businesses - is now expecting to take over the top chair,"
says Faulkner, Libertarianz Spokesman on Tobacco and
Alcohol.
Look what she's done: You can no longer buy
'Cigar Aficianado' or 'Smoke' magazines - this woman set up
the existing bureaucracy which bans magazines. You can no
longer sponsor sports events or fashion shows - this woman
wrote the legislation making this illegal. Yet she now says
she supports partial decriminalisation of marijuana. "Well
good on her I say, but what a double standard. Does she not
realise you smoke the stuff," wonders Faulkner.
"Perhaps
she could tell us in advance what she proposes to ban this
time around, and give us all time to stock up!"
