ZFREE celebrates 200,000th registration

ZFREE, powered by CLEAR, has signed its 200,000th user in just six months of operation.

The ZFREE web site has attracted more than 27 million hits since its launch in April, growing more than 300 per cent since the first month of operation.

In August, AC Nielsen's Net Ratings ranked ZFREE as the top New Zealand web site by page views and time spent online.

Registrations continue to grow at more than 800 new users per day, making ZFREE New Zealand's fastest growing ISP.

ZFREE manager Lindsay Cowley says he's thrilled that New Zealanders have embraced the free ISP concept so readily.

"People love it," he says. "The feedback we're getting is that we're even faster than some paid-for Internet services."

"We're continuing to add network capacity to meet the growing demand."
