Auckland – 17 November 2000 – Seek, an online recruitment company, was last night voted the best employment site in New Zealand.

International judges for the Netguide Web Awards 2000 commented that of the 32 entries Seek edged out the others because it was easy to navigate, had solid resources, a high number of jobs and helpful job-seeking resources.

Business Development Manager for Seek, Patrick Pruett, says his team is thrilled that their site has been recognised as the best and most effective career site in New Zealand.

“It is fantastic confirmation that we are meeting the needs of Kiwis who are seeking to find a job they love.

“Just last month we increased our visitor numbers by a huge 20 percent totalling over 79,000. We expect this to increase dramatically, as this month we signed a partnership deal with New Zealand’s largest professional body - the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICANZ), providing their 26,000 members with online recruitment facilities,” says Pruett.
