Software Innovator On A Roll |
||
Compudigm International Ltd and US giant, International
Gaming Technology (IGT)
have just signed an exclusive
distributorship deal which will open up new markets for
Compudigm and make some of the world’s most innovative
leading edge software available to casino managers across
the USA.
The arrangement will see IGT distributing Compudigm International’s revolutionary visual data management and analysis tool, seePOWER , to the whole of the North American gaming market. Its application will enable casino owners and managers to fine tune their operations virtually and ‘at a glance’, using the software to illustrate gathered data in visual format.
“As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of gaming slot machines, IGT is in the best position to distribute seePOWER in North America,” said Andrew Cardno, president of Compudigm. “This is an exciting, significant milestone in our company’s four-year history.
“Compudigm’s product is an excellent complement to our IGT Gaming Systems (IGS) suite of products, as well as other casino management systems,” said Tom Baker, President and CEO of IGT. “We are proud to be associated with it.”
Compudigm’s software is currently being installed in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas; it is also installed in several Australian casinos. SeePOWER was developed for the gaming industry in 1999, and followed by application in the telecommunications and retail industries.
Andrew Cardno explains why seePOWER is taking off: “We know one of the biggest issues facing casino management is cutting through the clutter of disparate bits of data to get a clean, overall picture of the whole operation. SeePOWER gathers data from across the casino floor and displays it in a visual format. In simple terms, it is a highly efficient means of gathering business information to monitor and improve performance, which then leads on to more effective gaming machine management and a thorough interpretation of business trends.”
SeePOWER provides business insights into the traditionally difficult area of maintaining and managing the location of gaming machines, and providing detailed analysis of slot machines. Changing layouts and measuring the success of these changes can be handled promptly and more efficiently. The individual performance of each slot machine can be analyzed by game type, denomination and contribution to overall profit to reach optimum operating efficiency.
SeePOWER’s analytical capabilities scored an Olympic win late last year during the Sydney Olympics, when Telstra Mobile used the tool to manage its mobile network loadings, improve the network performance and reduce call drop out.
