Beauty Direct and Varsity.co.nz form strategic partnership
online retailer and direct marketer Beauty Direct
(www.beautydirect.co.nz) and student portal Varsity.co.nz
(www.varsity.co.nz) have announced a strategic partnership.
The relationship will see Beauty Direct supply content to
Varsity.co.nz for a new beauty section, and allow
Varsity.co.nz users to access Beauty Direct’s real time
advice service directly from the student site. There will
also be monthly giveaways of Beauty Direct products on
Varsity.co.nz and one-off promotions such as the current
Mother’s Day competition running on the site.

Beauty Direct MD and CEO, Bronwen Evans, says that her company is keen to build relationships with strong and focussed local sites. “We see businesses like Varsity.co.nz, with its clearly defined, Internet savvy demographic, and deep, regularly updated content, as attractive business partners.”
Varsity.co.nz CEO, Jeremy Hunt, says this development is another example of how his company is building relationships that benefit both the organisations involved and the students that use Varsity.co.nz. “This partnership builds on our relationships with other businesses, for example Trade Me (www.trademe.co.nz), and with not-for-profit entities such as the four student newspapers we publish online, to bring our users content, services, and giveaways that we would struggle to replicate on our own.”
