Patent Roll Out Underway For Slab |
||
SLAB International, an audio innovator and flat panel speaker pioneer, has received its first comprehensive UK patent, as well as finalising a 'very pleasing' cross licensing arrangement with NXT, a UK-based flat panel speaker developer.
This will see more products and ideas from the innovative New Zealand-based R&D and manufacturing company released into the UK market and eventually around the world.
Chris Lock, SLAB International CEO, based in New Zealand, says the company is on a roll, with the patents underpinning its core business moving through to completion on a sequential basis around the world.
"We have just received our South African patent and are in the final stages of gaining a secure patent position in Germany, protecting our primary panel speaker technology. This will open up some huge markets for us," he says. "We are expecting the USA to follow through shortly and we are looking forward to the challenges of the changes happening in the global economy."
SLAB has three international centres of operation, in Hong Kong, China and its R&D base in New Zealand. It designs, licenses and manufactures panel speakers, noise reduction technologies, digital signal processing and hi fi.
