Software Magazine Ranks Peace Software As one of the
World’s Largest Software Companies
Peace Software today announced it ranked on the Software 500, Software Magazine’s list of the world’s foremost software and services providers. Over the last year Peace Software outdistanced industry competition by growing revenue nearly150 percent and doubling the number of people who work for the company.
The Software 500 is a worldwide list that includes both private and public companies. The ranking is based on total worldwide software and service revenue for 2001. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training, and software-related services and consulting. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by the Standish Group with King Content Co., as well as from public documents.
“Although IT spending was slow last year, many software product and service suppliers did do well,” says John Desmond, Software Magazine’s editorial director. “Companies that can deliver rapid return on investment for their customers with focused product offerings had better results.”
