Dolly's death a warning signal against milk from GE cows

Unexpected problems with cloned GE animals such as those made by AgResearch are a warning signal that ERMA controls on such experiments are inadequate.

" This adds to our concern that ERMA is allowing cloned GE animals to remain in the open field with inadequate containment , prevention of HGT , or monitoring of the health of workers and their families,' says Jon Carapiet from GE Free NZ in food and environment.

" Commercial pressure is compromising good science in attempting to rush to market such products as cheap GE cheese."says Mr Carapiet
