iSERVE awarded $100,000.00 Research Grant

iSERVE awarded $100,000.00 Research Grant

Wellington Based Web Hosting Company iSERVE, announced today that they have been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Foundation of Research of Science & Technology

The Grant subsidises the costs of three projects through to the development beta stage. Two of the projects will see the development of two unique products for the New Zealand Web Hosting and Domain Registration markets.

The third project is centred around e-commerce security, for which there is nothing like it currently available in the world. “These projects will change the way we think about web hosting, and Domain Name technology in New Zealand,” says Technical Director Brent McDowell.

“Our ecommerce security product will benefit thousands of business’s on a world-wide scale who conduct business over the Internet, and has the potential to reduce Internet fraud substantially. It is a world first, and will definitely put NZ on the world IT map”.

Naturally exact details of all three projects are confidential, however full details will become available as the projects are completed.

The Foundation for Research, Science & Technology invests in research, science and technology (RS&T) on behalf of the New Zealand Government to enhance the wealth and well-being of New Zealanders.

Launched in April 2001, iSERVE’s main business focus was to simplify Web hosting and Domain Registration services, while providing clients with a revolutionary new level of response time from their outstanding customer care.

iSERVE has earned considerable industry praise, achieving five Hitwise awards (an Internet measurement and on-line research service company) in each of the last five quarters, which ranked iSERVE above all its closest competitors.

The technologies that iSERVE has developed in the past 2 years, have automated many manual systems within the industry, the latest being an automated DSN creation for ColdFusionMX – something that has not previously been achieved in the Australasian Market.
