Teradata Maintains Fourth Year of Unbroken Lead in
Analyst Firm Data Warehousing Evaluation
AUCKLAND – Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), announced that it has been recognised as the global industry leader in data warehousing for the fourth consecutive year in the recently released Gartner’s Application Server Evaluation Model (ASEM): Update 2003.
“With near-perfect ASEM scores, Teradata dominates the database management system category,” said Julian Beavis, Teradata vice president for New Zealand, Australia and South East Asia. “Because Gartner’s rigorous metrics match real-world data warehouse implementations, executives can use it as a resource to sort through vendor claims and make better, more informed buying decisions. The Gartner update describes how Teradata has been the leader in six iterations of the report spanning four years – 1999, 2000, 2001, twice in 2002 and now 2003.
