All Blacks Los And Dougy Launch Websites
LOS & DOUGY LAUNCH WEBSITES
Rugby fans are now able to have an insiders' look at the All Blacks in Rugby World Cup mode with the launch of personal websites for sizzling All Black backs Doug Howlett and Carlos Spencer.
The pair's respective sites feature a world cup diary, their top 5 tries, world 15 team, personal game stats, signed playing jerseys, personalised t-shirts and caps, a fan club section with message boards and a prize draw for the fan of the month.
Given the limited access to the All Black camp, the players' World Cup Diaries should be of particular interest.
Armed with a digital camera, the dynamic duo have up-loaded images on their sites of the after match function with the Springboks, the All Blacks at the Melbourne Cup (nice suit Carlos!), kart racing, having dinner away from the team hotel and attending the Queen musical We Will Rock You.
The diaries also reveal several All Blacks supported the New Zealand Breakers when the basketballers played in Melbourne recently and a few of the camp attended the Prince concert at the Rod Laver Stadium.
In addition to this both sites offer fans the ability to purchase Carlos and Doug's signed playing jerseys, framed jerseys, signed photos and also their own branded t-shirts and caps featuring "Los" and "DH" logos.
Sportz Iconz director Greg Dyer says the websites are an opportunity for Spencer and Howlett to communicate with the public.
"Doug and Carlos are iconic New Zealand sportsmen and appreciate the support they receive from the media and fans alike, " he said. "The websites are a way of reaching out to their supporters and giving them a fresh perspective on their activities, particularly off the field."
