DOMAINZ Accredited By Int. Domain Name Body

DOMAINZ Accredited By International Domain Name Body

Wellington based online solutions provider Domainz Limited confirmed today it had completed the accreditation process with international domain name body, ICANN. The accreditation allows Domainz to act as a registrar for global domain name spaces .com, .net, .org, .biz, and .info.

“This puts Domainz in a new league”, said Domainz General Manager Bernard Blake, “New Zealand businesses can now search for and secure their brands globally with the benefit of local support and expertise.”

“More and more NZ companies are looking offshore for new markets and growth, and so a global internet presence is a pre-requisite” said Blake. “.nz remains the default extension in the local market but if you’re in an industry with any kind of international focus - either now or in the future - then your customers expect to find your company online at a .com, .net, .biz or info web site address.”

Blake went on to say that becoming an ICANN Accredited Registrar is just one of many recent changes at Domainz along with:
the introduction of Hosting Solutions customised for small to medium businesses just starting out online, and a Corporate Domain Management Service that assists NZ corporates in developing a strategic approach to domain name management.

“Domainz has long been the name trusted by New Zealand businesses and this just adds one more dimension to that relationship. Our customers expect and demand value, great customer service and products that benefit and complement their business. As we expand our product offering even further, those qualities will always underpin what we do” said Blake. -- ends --
